SLU Climate Conversations: Ways forward for land use and climate change

Researchers from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Lund University and Independent University Bangladesh discussed the role of land use for climate mitigation and adaptation in a seminar on 18 October. The webinar was part of a seminar series on climate change, hosted by SLU in 2021 and 2022. This seminar focused on the sixth assessment report by the UN Climate Panel Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change AR6 Climate Change 2021: The Physical Science.

Key note speakers included Markku Rummukainen, Sweden’s representative in the IPCC and professor of Climatology at Lund University, Saleemul Huq, Director of the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and professor at the Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), Kristina Blennow, professor at Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management at SLU and Erik Karltun, researcher at the SLU Department of Soil and Environment.
