SweDev’s input to SOU 2023:59: Ny myndighetsstruktur för finansiering av forskning och innovation

SweDev has submitted their views on the referral of A new agency structure for state research and innovation funding / Ny myndighetsstruktur för finansiering av forskning och innovation (SOU 2023:59).

The government decided in 2022 to appoint a special investigator to review the state organization for external research and innovation funding, i.e. the agencies tasked with funding research or innovation. The investigation (Forskningsfinansieringsutredningen) has resulted in a final proposal (slutbetänkande) titled “A new agency structure for state research and innovation funding (SOU 2023:59).”

Before the government takes a position on the proposal, it is sent for referral to the relevant authorities, organisations, municipalities and other stakeholders. The government wants to know what those affected think and what support the proposal has. The public also has the right to submit opinions.
