About

Jesper Sundewall is an associate professor of health economics at HEARD and researcher at Lund University in Sweden. He has worked on health systems and health financing issues in sub-Saharan Africa since 2004. Jesper has a Master’s in Business and Economics and a PhD in Health Systems Research. His research has revolved around development assistance for health and priority setting in low- and middle-income country health sectors. More recently, he has focused specifically on issues of health financing, priority setting and policy linked to universal health coverage and its linkages to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
