About

My research and teaching is within comparative politics and centres on how democratisation and national identity shapes and is shaped by state-society relation. Empirically, I specialises on Kenya and Uganda. I am currently working on two research projects, one on civil society and electoral politics and one on protest coalitions, both in electoral autocracies.
