Episode 5 of Make Rights Real (MRR) will explore the relevance of human rights for the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector and talk about the use of local knowledge to understand and possibly address effects of climate change and environmental degradation.
Background
We all know about climate change, environmental degradation and their devastating effects on human lives. The realization and enjoyment of the human rights to water and sanitation are heavily dependent on a healthy environment. Recently, countries recognized the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
This Make Rights Real talk will explore the relevance of this human right for the WASH sector and talk about the use of local knowledge to understand and possibly address effects of climate change and environmental degradation.
